OUTSTANDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS: The society holds two meetings per year featuring presentations by local and nationally recognized speakers on a variety of topics such as Otitis Media, Medical Ethics, Asthma, Infectious Disease, Anxiety Disorders, Headaches, Sports Fitness, and more. Members of GNOPS may attend these programs free of charge. The meetings are held at restaurants across the city and each includes cocktails and dinner. Spouses and guests are invited to attend for a minimal fee.
LOUISIANA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS: Every local pediatric society is invited to participate on the Executive Committee of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics which enables the Society to stay informed about the activities of the Chapter.
NETWORKING: The society is an excellent opportunity to meet and share information with your colleagues from across the Greater New Orleans area.

Resident Membership: Any resident or fellow currently enrolled in an approved Louisiana pediatric training or fellowship program. Annual Dues: Free of Charge
Active Membership: Any physician who is a resident of Louisiana, holding a current Louisiana medical license, who has graduated from an approved medical school and completed an approved pediatric training program of two or more years. This category includes those who are pediatric subspecialists. Annual Dues: $100
